Why are the Councils are giving away FREE vouchers?

All London boroughs need to reduce the cost of disposable nappy waste. Some boroughs have chosen to join the Real Nappies for London scheme. This scheme helps London parents find out about alternatives to disposable nappies. Some boroughs offer a voucher to help with the cost of buying the first set of nappies. http://www.realnappiesforlondon.org.uk/wherewhatwho/

Hence, this image explains it well. (Image credits: Real Diaper Association & Cloth Diaper Subsidy in Victoria BC.)

In our opinions: It is costing the councils too much money to get rid of disposable nappies to landfills, as it does not decomposes for another 450 years also, which is similar to glass, but with glass you can recycle. This means that your great, great, great, great, great grand children will be living with our dirty filthy disposable nappies in the landfills.

Plus disposables contributes 40% of our O-Zone gas, methane. In some EU countries supermarket are still selling disposable for the age of 6/7 years old! Why use disposable when a study has shown that babies who uses real nappies are usually become nappy free by the age of two.

This means too much of tax payers money are being paid by the council to get rid of disposable nappies to landfills. It is ours money, we should have a choice.
