Please give a Big Warm Welcome to my sister, Jitara!
She is one cool sister and a heck of an artist designer! As you can see she is well into her element painting her own designer bag. Her artistic passion began at a young age, she then went on and studied Interior Design at University. Since then she has been working as an interior designer and a landscape garden designer in private homes. Her love for fashion accessories became recently clearer about two years ago when she learnt that she had both brain tumour and lung cancer at the same time. An immediate operation took place and then radiation treatments thereafter. A year later her treatments have not improved, now she is going through the excruciating pain of chemotherapy treatments. But as always, she is cheerful and playful all the time. Her spirit is high and nothing will deterred her from finishing off her first handmade collection. She see this not as a job, but as a personal therapeutic therapy sessions where she can combine her love for floral nature and fashion together. Her work is very neat and elegant in so many ways.
My sister Jitara also happens to be little Ethan half-God Mother too. Here they meet when little Ethan was 8 months old. I love this photo of them two together.

Our second choice brand is Hippychick. Hippychick was founded by Julia Minchin in 1999. Her first product was the innovative back-saving Hipseat - now a multiple award-winner and a 'must-have' for all parents with babies 5-24 months. Julia was joined after two years by her husband Jeremy who left a career in the Metropolitan Police to help run the business. The early days were tough – working from home, juggling children, couriers, deliveries and using virtually every room in the house!
In 2003 they have moved to warehouses in Bridgwater which made life a lot easier. Today, they employ 16 people and supply a wide range of products to over 500 retailers throughout the UK, including John Lewis, Tesco, Mothercare, Amazon, Boots, Sainsbury’s and Harrods.
Their products have won many high profile parenting awards and they were Exporter of the Year for Somerset and the South West in 2006. In 2010 they have won the prestigious Company of the Year title at the MumandWorking Awards in recognition of their family friendly working environment.
